교육훈련비지출에 영향을 미치는 재무적 특성요인에 관한 연구

초록
본 연구에서는 우리나라의 상장제조업체를 대상으로 하여 교육훈련비지출에 영향을 미치는 요인을 기업의 재무적 특성을 중심으로 분석하였다. 연구모형에서 교육훈련비는 종업원 1인당 교육훈련비로 측정하였으며, 독립변수로는 부채비율, 영업현금흐름비율, 당좌비율, 2년전 주식초과수익률, M/B 비율, 규모(자산총액에 상용로그를 취한 값), 과거 교육훈련비가 포함되었다. 다중회귀분석은 연도별로 수행하였으며, 교육훈련비 지출규모별, 기업규모별, 산업별로 나누어 실시하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 교육훈련비에 유의적인 양(+)의 영향을 미치는 것은 과거의 교육훈련비이다. 둘째, 기업규모별, 산업별로 표본기업을 구분하여 분석한 결과 기업규모나 산업의 특성에 따른 차이는 발견되지 않았다. 셋째, 교육훈련비지출수준에 따라 표본기업을 구분하여 분석한 결과 교육훈련비지출이 전체평균 미만인 기업집단의 경우 영업현금흐름비율과 규모변수가 2개년도 모두 5% 또는 1%수준에서 유의적인 양(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 교육훈련비지출에 영향을 미치는 재무적 특성을 분석하는 초기연구이다. 향후에는 교육훈련비지출에 영향을 미치는 재무적 요인들과 교육훈련비 지출의 관계가 선형이 아닐 수도 있다는 점을 고려하여 선형회귀모형이 아닌 다른 모형을 이용하여 교육훈련비지출과 기업의 재무적 특성과의 관계를 분석해 보는 것도 필요할 것이다.
Abstract
The present study empirically tested the impact of the financial characteristics on the educational and training expenses. By regression analysis of 292 sample firms, the results are summarized as below. First, the past educational & training expenses, which was set as independent variable, was found to have positively significant impact. Second, the other independent variables were found not to have significant impact. Third, additional analysis on the difference of industry and firm size shows that there was no difference between these groups. Fourth, there was possibility that the relation between the educational and training expenses and the financial characteristics is not linear.
