이혼 후 비양육 부/모와 자녀와의 관계 및 협력적 부모역할에 관한 사례연구

This paper is to explore the relationships between the non-custodial parents and the children & coparenting after divorce by the method of case study. 11 cases including custodial parents and noncustodial parents are depth-interviewed. This study shows that the decisions about the custody has been made without regard of the children's welfare in most of the cases and the alteration of the custody occurred in some cases. And generally the relationships between the non-custodial parents and the children are tenuous or cut. And this tendency is stronger when fathers have custody. The most important factors to influence these relationships are shown to be the relationship between ex-wives and ex-husbands and coparenting roles after divorce. Besides relatives' attitude, remarriage of each of the parents are also important. The antagonistic relationships between ex-spouses and the breakdown of the relationships between non-custodial parents and the children make the children repress their emotions about the parents. And moreover it has the negative impact on the psychological, and social adjustment of the children. On the basis of these findings, the social welfare practices are suggested to strengthen the relationships between the family members after divorce.
