실내디자인에서 나타나는 ‘퓨전’의 표현특성에 관한 연구

In the 21st century, the flow of information and culture was accelerated because of digital technology and Internet development, and in particular fusion between different culture produced new culture named 'fusion'. These days, mixture and fusion between genre, for instance, food, music, fashion, interior decoration and architecture, etc, became new culture phenomenon that made appearance with keyword of 'fusion', so that the culture made change in accordance with universality of people's daily life to be free from genre and to overcome times and culture at shape and concept and make fusion.Since the latter half of 1990's in interior design, 'Zen Style' that became new life style reflected such a fusion phenomenon the most. The Zen style combined Zen thought of the Orient with simplicity of minimalism of the Western countries to be free from materialism and mechanism and to do spiritual cure, meditation and consensus with the nature. The study examined interior design having Zen style that had self-restraint simplicity, simplicity of natural material and aesthetics of intended poverty, etc, so that it investigated definite values of 'Zen'. Therefore, this study gave opportunity to reflect on the Koreans who were always deprived of representation in the Orient by Japan and China and to find out the culture to make fusion in world culture.
