유가변동에 따른 경제적 효과 분석
An Analysis of International Oil Shocks on Domestic Economy

초록
본 연구는 국제유가의 변동에 따른 공급충격이 주요 경제변수들에 대해 어떠한 영향을 끼치게 되는지 실증분석을 통해 분석하였으며, 분석 결과를 정리하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 국제유가의 급등은 교역조건 악화를 야기해 경제성장의 둔화와 소득수준의 저하 그리고 소비지출이 위축되는 것으로 분석됨에 따라 교역조건 개선에 노력을 기울여 나가야 할 것으로 보인다. 둘째, 유가의 급등이 소비자물가에는 전반적으로 미미한 반응을 나타내는 것으로 분석됨에 따라 유가상승으로 인한 소비자물가를 통제하기 위한 방편으로 금리를 인상하는 것은 바람직하지 않을 것으로 보인다. 그리고 국내경제가 개방화되면서 세계경제와 뚜렷한 동조화 현상을 나타내고 있는 상황인 까닭에 국제유가의 상승으로 인해 세계경기가 둔화될 것이므로 투자활성화를 통한 경기선순환을 가져오기 위해 금리인상은 보다 신중을 기해야 할 것으로 여겨진다. 마지막으로 유가급등으로 인한 경제주체들이 불안감을 해소할 수 있는 탄력적인 에너지관련 정책뿐만 아니라 체계적인 물류시스템의 개선을 통한 물류비절감, 그리고 대외적으로는 산유국과의 장기적인 시각에서 면밀한 자원외교를 통해 안정적으로 석유자원을 확보할 수 있는 정책적 대응과 해외 유전개발에 대한 투자를 보다 확대하는 전략이 필요할 것으로 판단된다.
Abstract
As international oil prices approach the limit of what the Korean economy is intolerable, the sagging economy has been visible. Accordingly, this paper did an actual analysis of how supply shocks by ballooning oil prices have influenced on domestic economy. The results from the paper are as follows. First, the international oil shocks have made terms of trade worse, which caused growth of domestic economy to be sagging, and the national income level also fell into a decline, and expenditures on personal consumption were weakened. We have to make all possible efforts to improve terms of trade with other countries.Second, because oil shocks have slightly influenced on the customers' price index, we have to deliberate on interest rate hikes in order to control pressure of price hikes resulted from ballooning oil prices.Third, oil shocks are not a whole exogenous variable, and we need the government's economic policies related to energy to reduce riskiness from overseas variables for individual main streamers of economy not to feel unsafe.
