전시컨벤션 개최지 선택속성의 차이 및 선호에 관한 연구

본 연구의 목적은 MICE 기획가를 대상으로 전시컨벤션 개최지의 선택속성 차이 및 선호를 분석함에 있었으며, 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 선택속성의 중요도 분석 결과, ‘방음, 조명, 온도, AV시설’ 및 ‘본 회의장 및 전시장 면적’, ‘호텔객실 수용성’ 등의 선택속성을 특히 중요시 하고 있다. 둘째, 속성 인식도 분석결과, 서울은 다섯 가지 속성에서 가장 경쟁력이 높다. 제주, 경북, 부산 및 대구는 전시컨벤션센터 시설 및 숙박공간 등의 속성에서 경쟁력이 있으나, 전시컨벤션 개최지역의 지역공간, 관광공간 및 여가활동공간 등에서 경쟁력이 떨어지며, 대전은 이와 정반대인 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, ‘〔연구가설 1〕MICE 기획가의 인구통계적 특성에 따라 지각하는 중요 전시컨벤션 개최지 선택속성 요인 간에는 유의적인 차이가 있을 것이다.’에 대한 검증결과 5개 요인의 17개 속성과 4개의 인구통계적 특성 간에 유의적인 차이를 보였다. 넷째, ‘〔연구가설 2〕MICE 기획가의 기획 특성에 따라 지각하는 중요 전시컨벤션 개최지 선택속성 요인 간에는 유의적인 차이가 있을 것이다.’에 대한 검증결과, 5개 요인의 9개 선택속성과 4개의 기획특성 간에 유의적인 차이가 있었다. 다섯째, 선호도 분석결과, 모든 인구통계적 변수에서 서울, 제주, 부산(대전), 대전(부산), 대구 및 경북의 순으로 나타났다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine the difference and preference of the exhibition and convention destinations for the selection attributes from the MICE(meeting, incentive tour, convention, and exhibition) planners. Overall, five results were revealed from this study. First, considering the importance of selection attributes, soundproofing, lighting, temperature, AV facilities, the space of main convention hall and exhibition were the most important attributes. Second, as the result of attribute recognition, Seoul was the most competitive out of 5 attributes. Jeju, Kyungbuk, Busan, and Daegu have the competitiveness in the attributes of facilities and accommodation space while weakness appeared in the attributes of regional space, tourism space, and leisure activity space and vice versa in Daejeon. Third, hypothesis 1 suggested that there were statistically significant differences in the attributes of convention destination selection based on the socio-demographic variables. More specifically, a statistically significant was found in the 17 attributes out of 5 factors and 4 demographic variables. Fourth, hypothesis 2 suggested that there were statistically significant between the attributes of convention destination selection and the planning characteristics of MICE. For instance, statistically significants were found between 9 attributes out of 5 factors and the 4 planning characteristics. Fifth, considering the preference of convention destinations' selection based on the socio-demographic variable, planners prefer Jeju, followed by Busan(Daejeon), Daejeon(Busan), Daegu and Kyungbuk.
