식품과 관련된 위험에 대한 소비자관심과 변화된 구매행동의 연계성 및 결정요인 분석 - 잔류농약, 미생물, 성장호르몬, 방사선조사, 식품첨가제에 관하여

The purposes of this study were to find some influencing factors on consumer concerns and changed behavior associated with the food safety and to explain the relationship between consumer concerns and the changed behavior. This study focused on the five issues such as pesticide residue, microorganism, growth hormone, food irradiation and food additives. The data were collected by housewives living in the four large cities. The results of this study were as follows. First, a good many consumers concerned about the food safety and thus had some experiences to change the consumption behavior. Second, the consumer concerns were more likely to be influenced by low income status for all categories, knowledge for pesticide residue, hormone and irradiation, age for pesticide residue and food additives, and education for food additives. And the changed behavior was more likely to be influenced by consumer concerns for all, age for irradiation, and monthly expenditure for pesticide residue and irradiation. Thus, to effectively enforce the related policy related to food safety, low income household or consumer knowledge must be considered to be important factors as well as individual characteristics. In addition, since changed behavior by consumers due to the food safety was related to consumer concerns, first of all, education must be proceeded to have concerns about the reasonable level for food safety.
