택시업종 운송수입금전액관리제의 활성화방안

The purpose of this study is to make suggestions as to how “the Management System of Total Amount of Fare" in taxi industry that is being not introduced though the law mandating the system has been enacted by the demand of the taxi workers can be improved and widely adopted. Research method used for this purpose is literature review. Literature such as related laws and regulations, statistical data, research papers, conference minutes, documents, publications and newspapers were reviewed. As a result, this study suggested that, in order to encourage to adopt the “the Management System of Total Amount of Fare" in taxi industry: First, the government should make greater efforts to enforce its “the Management System of Total Amount of Fare" Implementation Guideline and adopt rules that provide for stronger punishments for the offenders. Second, monthly salaries should be paid to the taxi workers in order to have the minimum living wage ensured. Third, the workers and the employers should change their way of thinking. Fourth, the government should support their efforts by creating a conducive policy environment. Specially in conclusion, for the successful adoption of “the Management System of Total Amount of Fare", a monthly-wage agreement ensuring minimum living wage must be made between the workers and the employers, and this, in turn, necessitates the efforts to come up with a new wage system that can complement “the Management System of Total Amount of Fare". Lastly, limits of this study and suggestions for future study are suggested.
