가상대학시스템이 성능평가 요인 및 구현전략에 관한 연구

초록
본 연구에서는 현재 전국의 많은 대학에서 운영하고 있는 가상대학시스템의 성능을 평가할 수 있는 합리적인 요인들을 제시하고, 또한 효과적인 시스템 구축을 위한 구현 전략을 제시하였다. 앞으로 가상대학시스템을 통한 강의 방식이 점점 보편화되고 가상강의에 대한 학생들의 수강신청이 점차 늘어날 전망이어서, 가상대학 강의를 통해 학생들이 시간과 장소에 구애됨이 없이 언제 어디서나 수업에 참여할 수 있고, 컴퓨터와 인터넷 등 다양한 정보기술들을 활용하여 수업의 효과를 높일 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. 따라서 가상대학시스템의 본격적인 도입에 앞서 가상대학 시스템이 전통적인 강의실 수업 방식에 비해 얼마만큼의 효과를 가져다주는지에 대한 분석이 필요하나, 아직까지는 기존 강의실에서의 전통적인 강의 방식에 비해 가상대학시스템에서 이루어지는 강의 방식이 어떤 효과를 가져다주는지 실증적으로 조사된 연구가 거의 없었다. 본 연구에서는 가상대학시스템의 성능을 평가하기 위해 과목의 설계 및 개발, 강의 전달 방식, 그리고 과목의 운영 및 관리와 관련된 부분 등 3가지 영역에서 합리적인 세부 평가 항목들을 개발하여 제시하였고, 현재 국내에서 실험적으로 운영되고 있는 가상대학시스템 하에서 강의를 받은 학생들과 강의를 담당한 교수들을 대상으로 인터넷상에서 설문조사를 하여 항목별로 평가하고, 앞으로 보다 나은 가상대학시스템을 정착시키는데 도움을 주기 위해 설문조사의 결과로부터 가상대학시스템의 구현 전략을 유도하여 과목의 설계 및 개발, 강의 전달 방식, 그리고 과목의 운영 및 관리 등 3가지 영역별로 구분하여 제시하였다.
Abstract
Recently many domestic universities have offered the courses in cyber spaces utilizing the virtual university systems. The virtual university system gives so many benefits as compared with the traditional face-to-face classroom system. Professors who offer the courses can design and provide various types of learning modes for the students and effectively provide various materials relevant to the courses. Students can easily attend to the class in a convenient time and location, learn according to their preferred mode of learning and share the information and learning experiences each other. In order to implement desirable virtual university system, we need to evaluate the performance of virtual university and suggest. implementing strategies for efficient virtual university system. For this purpose, we developed various factors for evaluating the performance of virtual university, surveyed questionnaires from professors and students who participate in the virtual class courses fall semester of last year, evaluated the current virtual university systems, and suggested implementing strategies for efficient virtual university system.
