신 통화지표의 유용성에 관한 연구

초록
새로운 통화지표 신M1, 신M2, Lf, L은 IMF국제기준에 따라 작성된 것으로 시중의 유동성을 보다 정확하게 반영할 수 있도록 하였다. 따라서 신 지표는 물가, 소득 등 실물경제 변수와도 보다 안정적인 관계를 유지하고 통화정책지표로서의 유용성이 크게 제고될 것으로 기대된다. 이에 본 연구에서는 목표통화량 조절정책(monetary targeting)의 매개지표로 이용되는 통화지표 신M1, 신M2, Lf, L의 유용성과 장기적으로 통화흐름을 안정화 시킬 수 있는 유용한 통화지표가 어떤 지표인지를 분석하였다. 분석결과 화폐수요의 장기안정성에 영향을 미치는 통화지표인 매개변수로는 상대적으로 Lf가 바람직하다는 것으로 분석되었다. 그리고 공적분 검정 결과에서도 화폐수요의 안정성 지표로는 Lf와 L이 유용하며, 최근 L에 대한 화폐수요가 증가함으로서 통화지표로서 L의 중요성이 증가하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 장기적인 통화량 조절정책 수단은 선행연구에서 나타난 것처럼 여전히 Lf가 상대적으로 유용한 것으로 분석되었다. 따라서 화폐수요를 고려한 통화정책당국의 장기통화량 조절정책을 위한 통화지표로 Lf를 활용하는 것이 바람직할 것으로 사료된다. 아울러 신M1 및 신M2지표도 상대적 유용성이 낮을 뿐 통화지표로서는 유용한 것으로 판단된다.
Abstract
New monetary indicator-new M1, new M2, Lf, L-made by IMF‘s international standards is reflect more exactly fluidity in the currency market. So that the new indicators will be expected keep its stabilized relation with real economy variance such as price, income etc, and availability of currency policy indicator more raised greatly. hereupon, analyzed the monetary indicator's usefulness in order to known that stability of currency flow for a long-term, and then analyzed the new M1, new M2, Lf, L's usefulness used to intermediation indicator of monetary targeting. As a result of analysis certified that Lf is desirable thing relatively by monetary indicator affecting in long-term stability of money demand. Also cointegration test showed that Lf and L were useful, L's importance increases as monetary indicator recently. Although, Lf was construed useful relatively in accordance with long-term monetary policy means as if proved in the early study. Accordingly it will be desirable that Lf's utilize by indicator of a long-term monetary control policy in the authorities of monetary policy. In addition new M1 and new M2 estimate that useful monetary indicator nothing but usefulness is low relatively.
