중소기업에서 ERP시스템의 성공적 구현에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 실증연구

ERP시스템은 e비즈니스를 실현하는 핵심 소프트웨어 패키지로서 기업 내 정보흐름의 본류이며, 조직의 핵심 프로세스에 모든 정보를 신속하게 제공하고 저장하는 고도로 통합된 소프트웨어 시스템으로 많은 기업들이 경쟁력 우위를 확보, 유지하기 위한 수단으로서 인식되고 있다.이미 도입하여 운영 중인 중소기업을 대상으로 실증연구를 통하여 성공적 구현에 영향을 미치는 요인이 무엇인지를 파악하여 향후 ERP시스템 도입을 고려하고 있는 많은 중소기업들에게 적절한 가이드라인을 제공하고자 하는 것이 본 연구의 목적이다.대기업과 여러 측면에서 다른 특성을 지니고 있는 중소기업의 경우 ERP시스템과 같은 새로운 정보시스템의 도입에 신중을 기하여야만 성공적으로 구현이 가능할 것으로 기대된다.연구 분석결과, CEO혁신성과 CEO의 정보기술지식으로 구성된 CEO특성은 ERP시스템의 성공적 구현에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 조직준비도의 구성요소인 조직 내부의 정보기술 경험은 유의하지 않은 것으로 나타난 반면, 벤더로부터의 지원은 성공적 구현에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 그리고 조직규모와 정보시스템 인식으로 표현된 조직특성 등은 모두 성공적 구현에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 한편 외부영향 요인 중 경쟁강도는 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났지만, 정부지원은 성공적 구현에 유의하지 않은 것으로 밝혀졌다.
Abstract
Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system has been recognized as a strategical weapon to secure the competitive advantage and to improve the organizational performance. Recently, many small and medium sized enterprises have adopted ERP system widely.The purpose of this study is to empirically test the influence of several factors on ERP system in the small and medium sized enterprises.The result of the analysis shows that CEO characteristics consisting of CEO’s innovativeness and CEO’s IS(information system) knowledge has a positive impact on ERP performance. However, the experience about the information technology of the organization does not show a significant impact on ERP performance, whereas the support from the vendors have a positive impact on ERP performance. Especially, the support from the vendor has shown the strongest impact on ERP performance. This result implies that it is very important to receive the appropriate and sufficient support from vendors to implement ERP system successfully. Also, the organization scale and the users’ higher level of recognition about the information system have a positive impact on ERP performance. Finally, the competition level in the industry has a significant impact, however, the support from the government does not show the a significant impact on ERP performance.It is hoped that this study will provide guidelines for the small and medium sized companies which are already implementing as well as those which plan to adopt and implement ERP.
