Does the law recognize transsexual surgery? And are women and men who were operated by doctor women or men? Jurists must deal with them and try to solve them since transgender's legal statute is very delicate social problem. They are very important problems. These problems, especially transgender's legal statute, are solved in some nations by law. However there is no law on transgender in Korea. Transgender can transfer his or her name and sex. Can he or she marry with her or him? If so, it's the same sex marriage. The same sex marriage is forbidden in Korea. In my private opinion, transgener's marriage has to be recognized, if a law approves transgender's sex alteration. However, we must carefully decide whether to recognize or not.
