오늘날 무선 통신과 모바일 위치 측정기술의 발전으로 위치기반 서비스의 이용이 확산되었다. 이러한서비스에서 사용자의 위치 정보를 데이터베이스 서버로 보내, 다양한 종류의 위치기반 서비스를 이용할수 있다. 그러나 데이터베이스 서버에 사용자의 정확한 위치정보를 포함하고 있는질의를 직접보내는 것은 심각한 개인 정보 누출의 위협이 될 수 있다. 따라서 모바일 사용자의 안전하고 편리한 위치기반 서비스의 사용 및 개인 정보 보호를 위한 방법이 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 위치기반 서비스에서 개인 정보 보호를 위한 cloaking 기법의 요구사항을 제시한다. 또한 기존 cloaking 기법을 중앙 집중 방식과 분산 방식으로 분류하고, 각 방법의 특징을 기술한다. 아울러 이러한 요구사항에 근거하여 기존의 cloaking 기법 연구를 비교 및 분석하고, 이러한 분석을 통해 cloaking 기법의 연구 방향을 제시한다. 마지막으로 분산cloaking 기법에 근거하여 개인 정보 보호를 위한 위치 기반 서비스 시나리오를 제시한다.
Abstract
Because of wireless communication and mobile GPS technologies, location-based services areincreasingly used. Users send their locations to a database server and acquire various location-basedservices. However, it is very dangerous to send their precise locations directly to the server because ofprivacy problem. So it is necessary to use location-based services safely without privacy problem. Inthis paper, we present some requirements of cloaking schemes for privacy protection in location-basedservices. We also classify them into centralized and decentralized cloaking schemes and describe themain points of each scheme. In addition, we compare the existing cloaking schemes, and through the itsanalysis, we indicate the research directions of cloaking schemes. Finally, we present the scenario oflocation-based services for privacy protection using a decentralized cloaking scheme.
