국내 성인의 인터넷 윤리수준 영향요인과 인터넷 폭력과의 관계에 관한 연구

The Internet is an indispensable productivity tool and a source of entertainment. Its widespread adoption, while making our lives immeasurably more convenient, is also creating previously unheard-of social problems. The anonymity of online interactions is making the Internet an environment conducive to deviant and abusive behavior, inconceivable in face-to-face situations. Hence, there is an urgent need to establish ethical norms for the Internet to curb Internet violence and encourage respectful behavior among Internet users. In this study, using the results of a survey, we investigate how the level of Internet ethics affects Internet violence and which factors influence the level of Internet ethics among adults. The main findings of this study are the following. First, the level of Internet ethics has had a negative influence on Internet violence. Second, some demographical and Internet usage variables, constructive Internet usage, self-perception, inter-personal relationships, and knowledge of Internet ethics were correlated with the level of Internet ethics. Additional analysis revealed that experience as a victim of Internet violence influenced users’ behavioral patterns.
