국내 유니버설 디자인 연구 경향 분석

The purpose of this study was to analyze of research trends on the universal design, found out research streaming and to suggest data bases for good design of environments and products. For this study, contents analysis was conducted. Articles of four academic journals published from 2000 to 2007 were units of analysis. The study results were as followed. The first, main research targets were not only normal people but also elderly and the disabled. The second, research target spaces were not only home but also web design, subway stations, silver-town, office, hospital, etc. The third, research methods were contents analysis and case study. Case study about a lot of spaces was the important method of this study. The forth, the universal design for elderly presented web design, kitchen, bathroom and silver-town. The fifth, research contents were to propose environmental assessment and countermeasures for public spaces and housing spaces. Finally, to suggest good design for universal design, it will be needed more researches to suit for wide range of users with different demand and environmental condition.
