우리나라 제조기업의 기업간 관계와 정보교류, 관계 통제방안 사용 실태

This study empirically identified six types of inter-organizational relationships in Korean manufacturing firms through the cluster analysis. Six forms include ‘long- range cooperative relationships’, ‘subordinate relationships’, ‘long-range inter-dependent relationships’, ‘interdependent relationships’, ‘semi-interdependent relationships’, and ‘semi-independent relationships’. According to the types of inter-organizational relationships, we also investigated the amount of information exchanged between trading firms, the usage levels of inter-firms control devices, the degree of inter- organizational trust, and the improvement of production performance of a firm. The results presented that in long-range cooperative relationships, the amount of information exchanged is the greatest, and the usage levels of various control devices are the highest. In the cases of subordinate relationships and long-range interdependent relationships, the ranks of the amount of information exchanged and the use levels of diverse control devices are the second, respectively. It was found that in long-range cooperative relationships, in which a large amount of information is exchanged, the level of inter-organizational trust is also the highest. The results demonstrated that the degree of improvement of production performance is the highest in long-range cooperative relationships. Thus, it is concluded that the cooperative relationship itself, a large amount of information exchanged, and high levels of use of control devices may contribute to the increase of production performance of a firm.
