사내하청 노조운동의 발생과 성장에 관한 비교연구

This paper is to explain the emergence and the growth of contract workers' unions through a comparative analysis on the four cases of struggle. The contract workers have the demands which can not be fulfilled under the company union system. These unions show the characteristics of social movement which try to achieve its demands by the uninstitutional collective action. The emergence of their movement requires three factors such as the accumulated discontent of contract workers, the existence of leaders who try to organize the struggle against the employer, and the extension of political opportunity for social movement. Especially, the role of leadership team is critical to organize spontaneous struggles of contract workers at in-house subcontracting firms and mobilize the support of regular workers' union. What is more important for the growth of contract workers' unions is the experiences of struggle and the organizational capacity of unions than the extension of political opportunity. The factors of the growth of their union include ① capacity of contract workers' unions for mass mobilization, ② the resource mobilization such as the support of regular workers union, and ③ the extent of repression of employer.
