한국 비정규직 여성 노동자들의 노출투쟁 : 최후 저항수단으로서의 몸

This study investigates the struggles of the non-standard female workers who exposed their bare bodies when confronted with crisis before them. Except the case of Dong-ill Textile women workers, those cases in this study are about bare body protests of non-standard female workers who voiced against insecure employment contract after 2000. The bare bodies of those non-standard female workers were exposed before the violence of male authorities who tried to dismiss their sit-in strikes. Overtaken with terror, these women struggling to protect themselves against male power accidently exposed their bare bodies. Their bare body was considered as the last resort to survive. They also learned to believe from their short experience of union activities that their rights as a working women can be secured only if they fight for it, which made it possible for them not to hesitate to use their bare body to protect their rights. However, lack of other workers' supports and short experience of their union activities made them not to evaluate effectiveness of bare bodies as a strike method and alternative strategies. To these women who become conscious of the self as a worker through the protests, their bodies are strongly considered worker's body rather than women's. They keenly realized that the bodies have been always an important survival means to wage workers, and a last resort in the naked protests for securing their rights to work. Their bare bodies exposed during the struggles were not shameful but the rightful means for their struggles to maintain livlihood of their families and themselves.
