기업수준과 사업수준의 자원ㆍ환경 적합성이 성과에 미치는 영향: 항공사 노선성과를 중심으로

「기업의 성과는 어떤 요인에 의해 결정되는가」보다 구체적으로 「기업전체의 성과는 어떤 요인에 의해 결정되고, 사업단위의 성과는 어떤 요인에 의해 결정되는가」 나아가 「사업단위의 성과를 결정하는 요인과 기업의 성과를 결정하는 요인은 같은가 아니면 근원적으로 다른 것인가」 이렇듯 성과에 영향을 미치는 요인을 규명하고자 하는 노력은 경영학연구의 가장 근원적인 논의로 다양하게 전개되었다. 본 연구는 기업수준과 사업수준 및 이들이 갖는 변수의 종합적인 접근을 통하여 (1) 항공사수준 환경과 자원 적합성(동일수준), (2) 노선수준 환경과 자원 적합성(동일수준), (3) 항공사수준 자원과 노선수준 환경 적합성(교차수준), (4) 항공사수준 환경과 노선수준 자원 적합성(교차수준), 이상 네 가지 적합성이 사업의 성과에 미치는 영향에 대해 살펴보았다. 연구의 대상은 2001년부터 2006년까지 960건의 인천출발 국제선 노선의 성과이다. 분석결과 동일수준(uni-level) 적합성은 사업성과에 모두 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 교차수준(cross-level) 적합성에 있어서는 항공사수준 자원과 노선수준 환경의 적합성은 유의미하게 나타났으나, 항공사수준 환경과 노선수준 자원의 적합성은 유의미하지 않은 것으로 나타났다.
Abstract
This study empirically prove that fitness of corporate and business' environment and resources are the main factors having a crucial influence on the performance at the business level through an integrated approach. The empirical flows, treating the outbound international lines from 2001 to 2006; The influence of the fitness of uni-levels(carrier-carrier, route-route), and cross-levels(carrier-route) to performance of routes. The result of this empirical study can be summarized as the following. It is turned out that corresponding levels affect the route's performance, but crossing levels partially affect. This study suggests more specific determinant factors to a business performance and gives practical implications to the airlines' international business.
