한국의 에너지산업 관련 주요 법규 및 최근의 동향

The purpose of this article is to arrange various laws and regulations regarding the energy industry in Korea and to set up the structure of energy related laws and regulations of Korea. For the structuring of energy related regulations, this article suggests three points: considering the characteristics of each energy resource, having various issues of energy related legislations be the criteria for categorizing the legislations, and not insisting the only one categorization system. From the introduction and analysis of each regulation and law related to the energy industry in Korea, this article gives an overall perspective for the systemized structure of energy related regulations and laws in Korea. This article introduces the contents and legislative history of energy related laws and regulations such as Energy Basic Law, Energy Use Rationalization Act, Act on the Special Accounts for Energy and Resources Enterprise, Overseas Resources Development Business Act, Mining Industry Act, Submarine Mineral Resources Development Act, Petroleum and Petroleum Substitute Fuel Business Act, Urban Gas Business Act, Safety Control and Business Regulation of Liquified Petroleum Gas Act, Electric Utility Act, and Act on the Promotion of the Development, Use and Diffusion of New and Renewable Energy. Also this article introduces and gives comments on the government's recent legislative activities regarding the energy industry in Korea such as establishment of National Energy Basic Plan, several enactment on new and renewable energy, and restructuring energy related public corporations.
