민법개정에 대한 민법개정안연구회의 의견

1999.2.5., Ministry of Justice organized Special Committee for a Revised Bill of the Civil Code and delegated authority of making a revised bill of the Civil Code to the committee. And 2001.11.16., the committee announced a revised bill of the Civil Code. After the revised bill was announced, a lot of critical views were raised. And the [Civil Code Amendment Research Society]'s [Written Opinion about the Revised Bill of the Civil Code] is taking the initiative. Civil Code Amendment Research Society has 33 leading professors in order to study about the revised bill. The research society had the members give their opinion about each article of the revised bill. And the collection of the opinions is the book [Written Opinion about the Revised Bill of the Civil Code]. Written Opinion about the Revised Bill of the Civil Code consists of two parts. the first one is reviews on each revised article, and second one is the members' papers about the problem of the revised bill of the Civil Code. According to the book, members of the research society are concerned about Ministry of Justice's amendment order and suggesting better method. Since the book includes members' opinions(mainly critical) about each article of the revised bill, it will be helpful for Ministry of Justice to prepare Civil Code amendment.
