관광호텔업 지원제도 평가에 관한 연구

관광호텔업은 관광산업의 중추적 기능을 하며 경제적 파급효과가 큰 관광활동의 핵심적인 인프라로 관광호텔업의 발전과 육성을 위해서는 지원제도의 효과성과 지속성이 필요한데 지금까지의 지원제도는 일회성으로 끝나는 등 관광호텔업의 전략적 육성에 있어 미흡했다. 이에 본 연구는 관광호텔업계에 종사하는 임‧직원들을 대상으로 관광호텔업 지원제도에 대한 평가결과를 통해 관광호텔업계의 지원제도에 대한 의견을 수렴하고 향후 관광호텔업 지원제도 수립의 방향성을 알아보는데 목적이 있다. 본 연구에서는 관광호텔 지원제도들을 평가토록하기 위해 과거 관광호텔업 지원제도 실적에 대한 역사적 고찰을 통해 지원제도들을 정리하였으며, 지원제도가 관광호텔업 활성화에 끼치는 영향에 대한 호텔 임직원의 평가를 알아보기 위해 요인분석과 회귀분석을 사용하였고, 인구통계적 특성에 따른 평가차이를 알아보기 위해 ANOVA분석을 실시하였다. 실증분석 결과 지원제도가 여섯가지로 요인화 되었고 관광호텔 활성화에 가장 긍정적인 영향을 끼쳤다고 평가하는 지원제도 요인은 ‘세제감면’으로 나타났다. 인구통계적 특성에 따라서는 연령이 높을수록, 직급이 높을수록, 그리고 호텔등급이 낮을수록 지원제도의 관광호텔업 활성화에 끼치는 긍정적 영향을 높게 평가하였다. 본 연구는 관광호텔산업의 주체인 호텔 임‧직원들의 지원제도에 대한 평가인식을 살펴봄으로써 정부는 관광호텔 지원정책에 대한 업계의 의견을 수렴하고, 업계는 지원정책에 대한 의견을 제시할 수 있다는 점에서 향후 정부의 관광호텔업 제도환경의 개선 및 지원방향 수립에 활용될 수 있다는데 의의가 있다.
Abstract
The tourist hotels play an important role in the tourism industry. Although the hotel industry is one of the export industries, the hotel industry has not been considered as equal as other export industries. This study aimed to evaluate how the government supported tourist hotels. This study used factor and regression analyses to investigate how the tourist hotel support programs effected the tourist hotel industry. In addition, this study used ANOVA to investigate the differences of the effects in terms of demographics. The results of this study will be used for the future directions of the support program. In this study, it was found that the support programs consisted of six factors and historically, the tax reduction factor had the most positive effects on the tourist hotel industry. In addition there were differences in the evaluations of the hotel support program effects in terms of demographics such as age, job titles, the period of time served, and hotel class. This study suggests that the support programs relating to the tourist hotels should be improved to bring positive effects on the hotel industry.
