성인학위학습자의 만족도 관련변인에 관한 연구 : 학점은행제 성인학습자를 중심으로

The Credit Bank System (CBS) is an educational system introduced by the 5.31 Educational Reform of Korea in 1995. CBS was established in order to realize Open Learning Society and Lifelong Learning Society in Higher Education. Although the CBS has been highly evaluated as a possible substitute for bachelors' degree, Korean Education Development Institute (KEDI) is considering revision of supervision system of the CBS due to its low public acknowledgement. Problems in supervision system have even generated disputes over whether the roles of administrative institutes and autonomy educational institute are well balanced and respected. Hence, analyzing the problems arising from the CBS and finding the resolution is of great importance in improving the educational opportunities provided by the CBS. One possible way of improving CBS may be to investigate the satisfaction level of Adult Learners following the CBS. The main objective of this research is to analyze how individual character and educational institution character could influence the satisfaction level. The variables that coincide with the CBS characteristics were chosen by visiting the education institute and interviewing the Adult Learners. Individual characters and education institute characters were chosen for the context variables. Individual character variables included sex, age, occupation, marriage status, educational background, major, income, credits acquired and points accepted as an experience, whereas, for education institute character variables included region, educational institute, type of program, credit acquisition system, academic institute and the environment of study. 38 items were finalized to be included in the satisfaction rating questionnaire. Each item in the satisfaction rating questionnaire was rated on 1-5 scale; with higher score indicating a high level of satisfaction and vice versa. In order to investigate the factors influencing the satisfaction level, Korean and international Adult Learners' satisfaction levels were studied. Satisfaction questionnaire was constructed based on preliminary research of Adult students under the CBS by interviewing them. This questionnaire was handed out to students and was also evaluated by seven experts in the field for its validity. 750 copies of the finalized satisfaction rating system questionnaires were distributed to seven educational institutes and, overall, 693 subjects were considered in this study. The main objective of this research is to analyze how individual character and educational institution character could influence the satisfaction level. Regression Analysis was adopted to find satisfaction factors as statistical analytical tool. The results of this study are as follows: Firstly, Sex and age of individual characters influenced the satisfaction level on the CBS. Secondly, Educational institute and the environment of study of educational institution characters influenced the satisfaction level on the CBS.
