교회 직분자들을 위한 사역내용설명서(Job Description) 제정에 관한 연구

This paper deals with the content that suggests the need to create a job description for the office bearers in local churches. Although it varies as to the reasons behind many conflicts between office bearers (especially between ministers and elders), it is surprising that the most of the reasons behind the conflicts stem from the lack of understanding in the mind of the office bearers about their own job descriptions. In other words, these conflicts are caused by the lack of understanding about the precise nature of their respective ministry, the scope, and the boundary of limitation. It is my belief that the job description normally employed in the business management field, especially human management, could be effectively used for the office bearers in local churches. Therefore, in this paper I provide, first, biblical definition and the kinds of office bearers, secondly, the biblical understanding on the roles of office bearers. Thirdly, I provide the job descriptions for the office bearers by analyzing the constitutions of the major presbyterian denominations that have standardized the biblical teachings on it. In conclusion, I suggest that if local churches or denominations would create and use such specified job descriptions, the church conflicts would decrease, and local ministries would effectively develop.
