헌법의 구체적 강의 방법과 내용

After many twists and turns, Korean Law School bill passed the National Assembly on July 3, 2007, which has been under heated discussion for legislation since 1995 under President Young-sam Kim's administration. So far, many problems that came from the existing bar examination in Korea have been pointed out many times and Korean people have come to want the legal profession to be more professional and popularized. Since the enactment of Korean Law School Act, many programs including the approval of law schools have been steadily stepped up to catch up with the law school opening schedule on March, 2009. However, the long controversies on law school for more than 10 years have been focused on whether to adopt the American law school system or not, and the discussions on what to teach and how to teach under Korean law school system have been very few. Accordingly, now is the very time that we should start our discussions on the method and contents of education in Korean law schools. As one of the discussions, this paper is aiming at examining and exploring 'the desirable teaching method and contents of Constitutional Law in Korean law schools' in details. For that, first of all, I will explore the teaching method and contents of Constitutional Law in the United States focusing on the Constitutional Law education at UC Berkeley School of Law where I studied law for many years. In addition, this paper is exploring on the desirable teaching method and contents of Constitutional Law in Korean law schools based on the analyses of 'Report on the Curriculum and Teaching Method in Korean Law Schools' which Korean Law Professors Association made as the result of research requested by Korean Ministry of Education as well as the teaching method and contents of American law schools. Finally, to get more details rather than abstract principles, I will present my teaching method and contents of Constitutional Law in law school including the case analyses by showing my course syllabuses in my law school.
