제주특별자치도 특별법상 자치경찰 규정의 법적 검토

On Feb. 28, 2007, the Self-governing police force on Jeju Special Self-governing Province is launched with the unveiling for the first time in South Korea. Not only the fact, self-governing police system is first established in South Korea, is significant itself but also skills and statures with Self-governing police on Jeju Special Self-governing Province do not end in special system and are spreaded all over the nation in the future. So, I think that it will be a milestone and model by establishing self-governing police system on the plan. On this wise, the enforcement of self-governing police system on Jeju Special Self-governing Province has a mission for revamping as a successful system on its role and function to meet the needs of the times called the establishment of local self-government and the settlement of decentralization. Most of all, the successful operation of self-governing police system can develop as the institutional improvement through the legal reform and the enforcement of based law. Therefore, this thesis shows the plan of problems under a legal regulation and about institutional ones of self-governing police system by looking into the self-governing police regulation under the special act on the Jeju Special self-governing Province to enforce self-governing police system on Jeju Special Self-governing Province successfully to be a model of self-governing police system expected to take effect across the country from now on.
