u-사회안전망구축을 위한 RFID태그의 이용가능성과 법적 과제

Recently, RFID technology that realizes Ubiquitous Society attracts worldwide attentions. RFID technology has the problem of privacy caused by it's tracking function and database system. On the other hand, this technology also has possibility to construct Social Security System that shall be able to protect people who need to care, such as kids and dementia patients. For example, RFID chips which will be put onto kids' school-bags, name tags or clothes can help parents to track their kids' movement. This paper presents the issues on RFID tags applied Social Security System in USA and Japan, and analyzes our government's U-Society Security System Construction Model Business. Also this paper presents some legal analysis on these issues and resolutions to improve current law system.
