초록
낯선 곳에서 잃어버리지 않고 제대로 길을 찾아 가기란 쉬운 일이 아니다. 사람들은 갈수록 이동이 잦아지고 있고 자꾸만 새로운 장소들은 늘어만 간다. 오늘날, 안내 사인은 찾고자 하는 장소에 대한 사전 정보가 없는 이방인들에게 헤매지 않게 필요한 정보를 제공해 주지 않으면 안 된다. 그러나 현재 우리나라의 공공장소나 공공건물 내외부에 사용되어지고 있는 정보사인시스템의 경우 사용자의 정보성과 편리성 또는 환경을 고려하기보다는 단순히 눈에 잘 띄는 사인이 대부분을 이루고 있다. 특히 최근의 키오스크(Kiosk) 방식의 디지털 사인시스템은 공공의 장소나 건물의 내 외부에서 정보를 Way finding 하기 위한 안내 정보사인의 일종으로 그 역할이 매우 중요해지고 있다. 하지만 아직까지 공공의 거리에서나 공간의 기능이 복합적이며 복잡한 구조의 환경을 가지고 있는 장소에 설치되어 있는 디지털 정보사인 시스템들은 사용자에 대한 콘텍스트(Context)가 부족하고 인터렉션 기능 또한 미숙하다. 오늘날 현대인들은 짧은 시간에 신속하고도 다양한 콘텐츠를 가진 시 지각(Visual Perception) 정보커뮤니케이션을 요구하고 이를 명확하게 이해 할 정보사인 디자인을 필요로 하고 있다. 따라서 디지털 정보사인시스템 커뮤니케이션의 시 지각 정보전달 기능의 디자인 요인을 분석하여 정보 전달 기능으로서의 보다 효과적이고 체계적인 상호작용적 정보사인시스템 디자인이 필요 하다고 생각한다.
Abstract
It is not easy to arrive at destination in strange areas without losing the way. People moves a lot and new places continue to increase. Therefore, signs must provide useful information so that even strangers can lost their ways in unfamiliar places. Unfortunately, however, Graphic signs in public areas or public buildings across Korea mainly focuses on noticeability without considering user's convenience and information usage. In particular, recent Kiosk-based digital sign systems are kinds of guidance Graphic signs to find information inside and outside of public areas or buildings and importance of their roles continues to increase. However, digital Graphic sign systems set up in public areas or buildings with complex and complicated spatial environments and functions are lack of context regarding users and have poor interaction capability. Today, as demand for visual perception communication to provide quick and various contents continues to increase, Graphic sign design to meet those needs are required. Therefore, it is necessary to develop digital interactive sign system design through analysis of sign system design factors.
