디자인 기술 발전을 위한 인프라 구축방안 고찰 - 자동차디자인 분야를 중심으로 -

Given the actual competitive value of Korean car industry, which has got its quantitative growth as one of those top car makers on the globe, the biggest problem is the relatively lower brand image compared to performance and quality. The present study is to propose an comprehensive direction of overall research infrastructure to enhance synergy for competitiveness of car designs in future global car market by getting over the present reality of car design, which is evaluated as markedly low with all the production capability. The scope of this study is mainly limited to quality characteristics of car design and technological aspect of design elements through business processes. In addition, visions of car designs and analyses and prospects of business realm are presented. Further, alternatives to apply infrastructure in each area for design development are reflected on from diversified perspectives. As methods for the purpose of this study, domestic and overseas database, searches on networks and analysis reports are referred to for overall current state and consideration on visions, while overseas periodicals and analytical data from governmental offices and ministries and car industry are used for technological content of each design area and analyses on future prospects. The consideration on essential methods for study is based on collected data and practical experience of the author.
