기술혁신 관점에서 RFID 구현에 미치는 영향에 관한 실증연구

RFID는 유비쿼터스 환경을 구현하는 핵심 기술로써 제조, 유통 및 물류 분야에 이르기까지 산업전반에 도입이 빠르게 확산되고 있다. 정부 및 관련기관의 정책 및 지원으로 RFID가 산업현장에 확산되고 있지만, 기업에서는 RFID를 부분적으로 도입하고 있거나, 높은 구현 및 운영비용, 표준화의 부족 등의 한계점으로 인해 RFID의 미래는 여전히 불명확하다. 본 연구의 목적은 기술혁신 관점에서 RFID 구현에 영향을 미치는 요인을 검증하는 것이다. 이러한 연구목적을 달성하기 위해서 RFID를 도입하여 운영하고 있는 73개 기업을 대상으로 실증연구를 수행하였다. RFID 구현에 영향을 미치는 요인으로 혁신 특성에는 상대적 이점, 비용, 표준화, 조직 내부 특성에는 최고경영층의 지원, 조직의 IT지식능력 그리고 조직 외부 특성에는 경쟁적 압력, 조직간 협력으로 설정하였다. 본 연구의 종속변수인 RFID 구현에는 통합정도와 사용정도로 분류하여 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 첫째, 표준화, 최고경영층의 지원, 조직의 IT지식능력, 조직간 협력이 통합정도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 상대적 이점, 표준화, 최고경영층의 지원, 경쟁적 압력, 조직간 협력이 사용정도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 결론에서는 연구결과의 요약 및 연구의 시사점과 한계점 그리고 향후 연구방향에 대해 제시하였다.
Abstract
RFID is widely adopted among all industries as well as the manufactures and distributors as a core foundation technology of the ubiquitous. RFID is widely spread among the industries with the strong support of related institutions. But, the future of RFID still remains unclear due to limitations of high the implementation and operation costs, the lack of standardization. The purpose of this study is to empirically examine the factors influencing implementation of RFID using the technological innovation. This study has been reviewed various theoretical research relating to RFID, technological innovation and IS implementation. To achieve this research purpose, we collected 73 questionnaires from Korean companies. The result of hypothesis testing is as follows. First, the integration level of RFID is influenced positively by standardization, CEO's supports, IT-related organizational knowledge capability and inter-organizational cooperation. Second, the usage level of RFID is influenced positively by standardization, relative benefits, CEO's supports, competitive pressure and inter-organizational cooperation. Finally, policy implications and limitations are presented.
