초록
Trade Union Organizations in Nigeria are being faced with serious problems relating to the violations of Labour Rights and Privileges including intimidation of workers to leave unions. Globalization has brought with it flexibility, which has encouraged cheap labour thereby making employers of labour to violate workers’ right. This paper examines some of these issues that have affected trade unions in Nigeria. Using Neo-liberal theory as its theoretical leaning, this paper sees the existence of the capitalists as total monopolization of market forces and encroachment on the rights and privileges of workers. The paper concludes that in order for trade unions to win this fight, they must remain determined and resolute.
