대한민국공공디자인 수행 시 디자인컨셉트의 중요도에 관한 실증연구 - 디자인전문가 인식을 중심으로 -

The research is proceeded as a following research paper for the ‘A Study on Korean Public Designs Spirit in Hunminjeongeum(2009)’. Therefore, design concepts that have been used for this research, ‘difference, loving people, aesthetics, utility, and democracy’, are the ideas that have come from the above research. The purpose of this study is to grasp importance in element(design concept) that will need to be considered given performing public design, by each type targeting design experts. The research is completed with survey. It was an analytical survey that compares groups that have been selected from same group. The survey uses repeated measure to perform diversified analysis in order to analyze the results. As a result of research, the design experts responded it to be important in order of practicality and democratic characteristic as important consideration elements given performing public design by each type(public space, public facilities, public information facilities). In all the spheres except cultural street, the importance had failed to be recognized about 'difference(locality and identity).' This result was indicated to be the similar consequence even in the survey of importance that compared between types in each as for items in ‘difference, loving people, modeling, utility, and democracy.’ In other words, the design experts had been thinking 'Korean style,' namely, cultural identity not to be specially important given performing public design. This result is seen to have correlation even with all the problems, which are raised now in the Korea's public design. Given remembering that the nation(region)'s cultural identity functions as very important element in the people's quality of life in the era of globalization, this study suggests that the establishment of new direction is necessary as a whole, which can secure Korea's cultural identity in Korea's public design.
