북한이탈주민 담론의 비판적 이해에 기초한 평생교육의 방향

Recently, the number of North Korean Refugees is rapidly increasing and the reasons for seceding North Korea, contexts surrounding them and their demands in relation to living are showing more diversified and composite patterns. Therefore the Korean government has adopted a policy to help the North Korean Refugees to stand on their own feet. Fundamentally, to stand on their own feet, they must respect themselves and recover their erudition. But the discourses in relation to North Korean Refugees have not been able to change how the natives think about them. The natives have negative recognition about them. On the contrary the discourses have made and reproduced the recognition. The problems of the discourses on North Korean Refugees can be critically discussed in terms of first, confusions in the reason for the existence of the discourses, second, lack of the understanding of the subjects and contexts surrounding them, third, the egocentrism of people making discourses. Therefore, lifelong education has to perform a primary role to remove the negative recognition about North Korean Refugees. The roles are as follows; Most importantly, people who is working in the academic and practical areas connected to lifelong education has to use his/her language cautiously, and to reflect continuously. Second, lifelong education has to be based on the philosophy that people can trust the erudition of each North Korean Refugee. Third, in lifelong education, researchers and practitioners have to widen a scope of educational capital to break the discourses that they cannot adapt and succeed in Korean society. Fourth, in lifelong education, researchers and practitioners have to continue to research and develop a custom programs and strategies for their own HRD.
