인천시 생산자서비스업의 분포패턴 변화 : 창업시기를 중심으로

This paper is concerned with the geographical characteristics of producer services in Incheon. The aim of this paper is to identify the locational characteristics of producer services. The categories of producer services selected four sectors, FIRE, Renting of machinery and equipment, R&D and information processing services, Business services. During the period of 1994-2004, the producer services have been decreased in the existing centers. Contrary to this, all the producer services have been increased in the newly developing areas. In analyzing the degree and direction of distribution in terms of year of foundation, especially, it is identified that the growth of newly developing area has been due to newly opening establishments. Therefore, the locational inclination of newly opening establishment toward the newly developing areas suggests locational pattern in future. In general, Incheon has urban structure of multi centers which the small areas construct horizontal relation. Consequently, Incheon has not the seedbed areas for the newly opening establishments. It is necessary that Incheon build up the seed-bed areas in the newly developing areas.
