디자인박물관의 웹기반 디자인교육

The purpose of this study is to suggest building a web-based educational design infrastructure as a method in strengthening Korean design competitiveness, one of the critical design issues in the 21 century, the cultural economic era. To conduct this research, references were reviewed to comprehend the change of museum education in accordance with the development of technology from Industrial era to Information era. Website analysis of select national design museums in the United Kingdom and the United States were developed by dividing the design educational contents provided on the websites into databases and archives, accumulated contents, and educational programs, interactive contents. In this study, the value and the necessity of web-based design education of design museums are discussed for the development and further reinforcement of design education and Korean design competitiveness.
