본 연구에서는 경영전략과 성과측정시스템(PMS) 이용간의 관계에서 조직학습이 경영성과에 어떤 영향을 미치는지 살펴보고자 하였다. PMS는 기업의 경영환경을 반영할 수 있는 정보들을 제공할 수 있어야 하며, 기업의 목표와 전략을 지원할 수 있도록 설계되어야 한다. 그러나 선행연구들은 전통적인 PMS가 이러한 역할을 제대로 하지 못하고 있음을 지적하였다. 본 연구에서는 세 개의 경영전략 변수(유연화와 혁신, 유지전략)를 사용하였고, 두 개의 PMS이용 변수(진단PMS이용과 상호작용PMS이용), 두 개의 조직학습 변수(단일고리학습과 이중고리학습)를 사용하였다. 분석을 위한 자료는 설문지를 이용하여 93개 상장기업에서 수집하였다. 연구결과 세 개의 경영전략 변수 모두 상호작용PMS에 유의적인 양의 영향을 미치고 있었으며, 이것은 이중고리학습에도 양의 영향을 미치고 있었고, 이 결과가 성과의 향상으로 연결되는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 이론적 관계와는 반대로 진단PMS이용과 단일고리학습간의 관계에 오히려 유의적인 음의 관계가 존재하고 있었다. 따라서 전체적인 연구결과가 본 연구의 가설을 부분적으로만 지지하고 있었다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of organizational learning between business strategy and use of performance measurement system(PMS) on performance. PMS should be designed to present managers with information covering different perspectives and to complement management's objectives and strategies. However, the prior studies are claimed that the traditional PMS failed to provide a way of translating strategy into coherent set of performance measures. In this study, the three strategy types are used; flexible, innovate and maintain strategy. The two types use of PMS(diagnostic and interactive use of PMS), the two types of organization learning(single loop and double loop learning) are used. Data were collected by a survey questionnaire from 93 organizations. The results of this study suggest that the three types of strategy effect on the interactive use of PMS, the interactive use of PMS effect on double loop learning. These relationship between variables effect on improvement of performance. However, the diagnostic use of PMS effects on single loop learning, contrary to expectation. These results are partly support the hypothesis.
