디자인 테라피 개념을 통해서 본 디자인의 사회적 역할과 책임

The value and importance of design has been well known in art and cultural areas in addition to in social. Therefore the roles and responsibilities of design should be kept pace with the change of social and design paradigm. Design should consider how it copes with the change of society and accomplishes the roles and responsibilities for its stable positioning. Design-therapy is one of propositions for the change of roles and responsibilities in design area. It would be helpful to give designer with satisfaction and impression suggesting design objectives and methods as well as user themselves. The change of design recognition by revolution of design value system means design to be "complete form" in addition to designing to be "a margin for change". It calls the post-occupancy process and change, also the span of design process should be extended. The end-user could be the main subject who is the final customer in general. The user in post-occupancy level could be experienced the inner healing by self-satisfaction with tool(product). Design-therapy as healing people with design appears such as the margin for using tool and personalizing it. Also Design as healing people means the design method to make networking among human, products, and environments.
