연구기반스핀오프의 성공요인에 관한 연구 : (주)에이팩 사례를 중심으로

본 연구는 성공한 연구기반스핀오프 중 (주)에이팩을 사례기업으로 선정하고 창업하여 성공한 핵심요인이 무엇인지를 분석하였다. (주)에이팩은 신개념의 Heat Pipe를 개발하여 국내 냉각기 시장의 선두주자로 부상하고 있는 강소(强小)기업이다. (주)에이팩의 성공요인은 투입부문과 산출부문으로 정리할 수 있다. 첫째, 투입부문은 인력, 자금, 기술 등 자원조달 측면에서 성공요인을 살펴볼 수 있다. 그리고 대기업과 전략적 제휴, 기술인력 등의 연구력을 신제품으로 이끌어 내는 리더십과 새로운 제품을 개발하려는 끊임없는 도전과 집념, 경영자원의 효율적 관리 등 조달자원의 통합측면에서 성공요인을 살펴볼 수 있다. 둘째, 산출부문은 제품판매/성장역량 측면에서는 표준적인 기업성장 곡선, 해외시장 개척, 안정된 기업 소유구조 등에서 성공요인을 살펴볼 수 있다. 그리고 해외시장에서도 호평받는 제품력의 입증, 해외고객을 대상으로 해외마케팅과 시장개척 노력, 특허등록 및 관리 등은 제품, 고객과 경쟁력의 확보 측면의 성공요인이라고 할 수 있다. 셋째, (주)에이팩의 성공은 송규섭 대표의 기업가정신이 중요한 부문을 형성하고 있다.
Abstract
This case study chose APACK Incorporated among successful spin-off ventures and examined the successful factors of APACK from the start-ups to the present. We analysed the relationship between the successful spin-off ventures and organizations of spin-off matrix and also reviewed the degree of contribution of spin-off matrixes. The factors which made APACK have become a successful venture are as follows. First, APACK has an excellent technology and one competitive technology recreates new products continuously. Second, the success of APACK is accomplished through the cooperation with various big businesses such as Samsung and LG. Third, the positive opening of foreign markets enabled APACK to take the firm growth momentum. Fourth, the endless challenging entrepreneurship is also one of successful factors.
