프로젝트 접근법 교육활동을 통한 유아 문제해결력 발달에 관한 해석학적 연구
A Hermeneutic Research on the Development of Infants’ Abilities to Solve Problems through Learning Activities by Project Approach

본 연구는 유아교육 현장에서의 프로젝트 접근법 교육활동에 의한 문제해결력 발달에 대하여 해석학적인 방법으로 있는 그대로의 모습을 존재론적으로 살펴보았다. 특히, 인간의 역사적 삶에 대한 감수성과 개방성을 강조하여, Gadamer의 철학적 해석학을 원용하였다. 5세 남아 다섯 명과 여아 세 명을 대상으로 2008년 3월부터 10월까지 수행한 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다: 첫째, 유아들은 하나의 과제를 해결하기 위해 또래들과의 의미 있는 대화와 서로 도와 가며 문제를 해결하는 협력적 문제 해결 과정과 목표에 대하여 오랜 시간 집중하고 서로의 아이디어를 주고받는 동안 과정을 통하여, 유아들의 과제 집착력은 높아지고 문제 해결력은 발달한다. 둘째, 유아들은, 프로젝트 접근법 교육활동에 의해, 스스로가 질문을 하고 문제를 추측함으로써 주위 환경 속의 주요 현상을 인식하고, 목적 달성을 위한 열망으로 새로운 기술 습득을 위해 열정을 쏟으며, 새로운 지식을 습득하고 문제 해결력을 기름으로써 자신감을 북돋워 감을 알 수 있었다.
Abstract
The research tried to understand the development of infants’ abilities to solve problems through learning activities for project approach by hermeneutic inquiry. Subjects of the research were five male infants and three female infants standing high over others in linguistic expression in the project approach activities at five years of age, who have attend the L kindergarten at the linked area of the urban and rural communities in S city, Gyeongsang-Nam Province. In order to collect data for this research, I carried the research for 8 months from 10th of March of 2008 till 30th of October of 2008, doing participating observations in linguistic scenes and situations and interviewing parents of the selected infants as well. Also I video-recorded various activities of those infants and dictated them, and wrote texts with such results and interpreted them. I placed infants’ abilities to solve problems under the five categories of such main themes as problem solving, creativity, identity, thinking abilities, and linguistic ability. I interpreted the texts related to the five main themes and understand their meanings.
