초록
The purpose of this article is that the laity take a look at their genuine position in the Parish, where they belong to, under the historical, institutional, and pastoral points of view related with the identity of a lay believer, and furthermore to find a special way for them to take part in the community life of parish and missionary work as a genuine lay believer. A Parish is an organic community consisting of a Parish Priest being entrusted with authority from the Bishop, and other believers namely, the Ordained (Assistant Priest, Deacon), monk, and the laity. In the community are there all including universal priesthood, official priesthood, charisma, the shepherd and the consecrated, and the laity. All of them have their genuine abilities and duties for the mission of apostle of the Church in this world and the pastoral matter of parish. Therein, they have to help each other with organic manner through acting on intimacy with a respect of each other's rights and duties at their own functions. Hence, the parish acts for the mission work inside and outside as an organic community. Such acts include not only inside acts, which are directly on Parish Priest who mainly has a pastoral characteristic, but also outside acts, which can be and must be done outside by the laity. Outside acts are those of acts in family, acts in office, and acts in social and cultural lives. The responsibility of such acts is on the laity who has secular characteristics. It's because the laity live in a certain area, and they are the persons who act the mission work of Christ vested through baptism in their fields.
