ERP시스템 구축비용이 기업의 재무성과에 미치는 영향

오늘날 많은 기업들이 경영환경의 급격한 변화와 정보기술의 급격한 발전에 능동적으로 대처함으로써 경쟁우위를 점하기 위한 목적으로 ERP시스템을 도입하여 사용하고 있다. ERP시스템을 도입한 많은 기업들이 재고감소, 비용절감, 매출액 향상 등 다양한 효과를 누리고 있을 것으로 보인다. 본 연구에서는 중소기업들을 대상으로 첫째, ERP시스템 도입여부가 기업의 재무성과에 영향을 미치는지를 살펴보았으며, 둘째, ERP시스템 도입전후의 기업의 재무성과에 차이가 나타나는지를 살펴보았으며, 셋째, ERP시스템 도입시 투자되는 구축비용과 기업의 재무성과 간에 연관관계가 있는지를 중소기업들을 중심으로 살펴보았다. 조사 대상기업 약 160개 기업을 대상으로 설문지를 돌렸으며, 그 중 실제로 사용가능한 약 60여개 기업의 실제 재무자료 및 설문결과를 이용한 기업 간의 비교 결과 ERP시스템을 도입한 기업의 재무적 성과가 도입하지 않은 기업보다 높은 것으로 나타났다. 한편 ERP시스템을 도입한 기업의 경우, 도입 후의 재무적 성과가 도입 전에 비해 높아지고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 본 연구에서 표본으로 선정된 중소기업들은 ERP시스템을 도입하는데 총자산의 0.1∼3% 정도의 투자를 하고 있었는데, 총자산 규모가 큰 중소기업일수록 ERP시스템 도입에 많은 투자를 하고 있는 것으로 나타났고, ERP시스템 투자를 많이 한 중소기업일수록 기업의 재무성과가 높은 것으로 나타났다.
Abstract
This study aims to examine 1) whether the presence of ERP system affects on company performance, 2) In case of adoption of ERP system, whether the investment cost of system integration affects on company performance, and 3) After implementation of ERP system, whether company performance has been improved year after year. The independent variable of this study is presumed as ERP system investment integration cost, and dependent variable referred to company performance is measured with the ratio of net profit to net sales and inventory turnover ratio. Firstly, the result suggests that the presence of ERP system has meaningful effects on company performance. Secondly, the result shows that the investment cost of system integration has meaningful effects on company performance. Consequently, the higher investment cost of ERP system is expensed, the better company performance is recognized. Lastly, after implementation of ERP system, company performance has been improved year after year.
