디자인기초조형교육을 위한 디자인 분류체계 연구

The objective to create the classification system of design industry in this study is to provide the data to set the direction of efficient design basic education by clarifying the contents and forms in design industry substantially. For the basic materials for the study of classification system in design industry, we referred Korea Standard Occupation Classification (6th revision in July 2, 2007) and Korea Standard Industry Classification (9th revision in Dec. 27, 2007) which both are the latest materials reflecting the latest change of industrial structure, provided by the National Statistical Office, as the standard of this study. As a result of comparing the design classification system by the current occupation classification and industry classification, it was found that the industrial professionals related to design are acting and participating in production activities but none in industry field. Thus, it is needed to redefine the design through reviewing the design classification system again and establish the frame for design basic education. For design classification, it is reasonable to start from individual concept of design rather than relative concept. In addition, it is more appropriate to clarify the design classification as one system by the integrated point of view rather than looking at the design classification based on the local definition of design. <Fig.1> shows the design classification system that likened the concept of variable design which is accepted and grows in the changing environment, to the tree.
