지역산업연관모델을 이용한 경북한방의료관광의 경제적 파급효과 분석

The purpose of this study is to estimate the economic impacts of the oriental medical tourism demand for Gyeongbuk province using a regional input-output(I-O) model. To this end the oriental medical tourism demand for Gyeongbuk province was predicted based on rate of willingness-to-visit and rate of actualization from six metropolitan cities. Multipliers of oriental medical and tourism sectors were derived from the Gyeongbuk regional I-O transactions tables developed by Bank of Korea(2007). Furthermore, per capita expenditures on oriental medicine and tourism were also estimated from surveys. The results of this study indicate that approximately 2 million visitors were predicted for the oriental medical tourism demand for Gyeongbuk province when applying rate of willingness-to-visit. The oriental medical tourism demand was further forecasted as approximately 800,000 tourists when applying rate of actualization. Furthermore, the survey results reveal that almost 50% of the respondents on average stated that they were likely to visit Gyeongbuk province for the oriental medical tourism. The surveys also indicate that per capita expenditures on oriental medicine and tourism were estimated to be 172,000 won and 129,600 won, respectively. Total expenditures were predicted as 240 billion Won when applying rate of willingness-to-visit as well as actualization. The regional I-O analysis shows that in 2010 the oriental medical tourism demand for Gyeongbuk province would generate 420 billion Won of output impact, 81 billion Won of income impact, 205billion Won of value-added impact, and 6,000 full-time jobs of employment impact.
