The Effect of Entrepreneurs's Psychologic Characteristics, Start-up Environment and Managerial Factors on The Start-up Performance: A Case Study of Foodservice Industry

The purpose of this study is to develop a conceptual model that depicts the effects of the success factors such as entrepreneurs' characteristics, environmental factors, and managerial factors of the start up firms' on business performance. Specifically, the conceptual model presents that links entrepreneurs' psychologic characteristics(self-efficacy, social skill, accomplishment desire, and risk-tasking), start-up environment(dynamics and competitive strength), managerial factors (operating management, location/subsidiary facilities, special consulting, and funding/human resources), and start-up performance. As the results, entrepreneurs' characteristics influence on the start-up performance. Also, start-up environment and managerial factors are major determinants to influence on the start-up performance.
