청소년 초기단계에서 범죄피해의 변화와 예측요인에 대한 연구

초록
이 연구는 청소년 초기단계에서 연령에 따라 범죄피해의 경험이 어떠한 변화의 패턴을 보이는지 그리고 이러한 변화의 양상에 영향을 미치는 요인은 무엇인지를 살펴보았다. 이를 위해 기존의 연구들에서 범죄피해에 영향을 주었던 개인성향 요인, 가족 관련 요인, 상황적 요인을 중심으로 분석을 시도하였다. 분석 결과, 첫째로 초등학교 4학년부터 중학교 2학년에 이르는 5년 동안범죄피해는 감소하다가 정체하는 추세가 나타났다. 초등학생의 범죄피해가 연령에 따라 감소하다가 중학교 시기가 되면 정체하는 경향을 보였다. 또한 범죄피해의 초기치와 변화율을 분석한결과, 초기치와 변화율 모두 유의미하게 나타나, 초등학생들의 범죄피해 경험이 획일적인 것이아니라 개인적인 차이가 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 둘째로 범죄피해의 발달궤적에 영향을 미치는예측요인이 무엇인지를 분석한 결과, 범죄피해의 초기치와 관련해서는 자녀양육태도와 비행친구와 일탈적 생활습관만이 피해초기치에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 범죄피해의 변화율과 관련이 있는 변수는 비행친구, 자녀양육태도, 일탈적 생활양식으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 종합해 볼 때, 개인적 성향요인보다는 가족관련 요인이나 상황적 요인이 청소년초기단계에서 범죄피해의 변화를 예측하는데 중요한 요인이라고 말할 수 있다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine developmental trajectories of adolescent victimization and to identify factors that might explain individual differences over time. For this study we used longitudinal data form 2004-2009Korea Youth Panel Survey(KYPS) for elementary school students. The two major findings of the study by LGM(latent growth model) analysis are as follows: First,the rate of adolescent victimization has decreased for five years but there were significant individual differences in the initial level and the rate of change in their victimization. This finding shows that a student has more victimized experiences of the past, (s)he is expected to be victimized in future. Second, family factors and situational factors are predicted both the initial level and rate of change in adolescent victimization. Specifically, 'living without parents', 'parents' violent rearing for their children', 'delinquent peers', 'deviant life styles' affect the rate of victimization and the developmental trajectories. These findings are provide support for the importance of family factors and situational factors to prevent adolescent victimization.
