수출벤처기업의 수출시기에 따른 성과결정요인

본 연구는 한국 수출벤처기업들의 수출성과에 대한 결정요인에 대한 연구로서, 최근 활발히 연구되고 있는 국제신벤처기업의 수출성과 결정요인을 일반수출벤처기업과 비교하였다. 이를 위해 경영자 요인으로 국제화비전과 위험감수성향을, 기업요인으로 마케팅역량과 학습역량을 선정하여 객관적 수출성과 지표인 수출집약도와 주관적 지표인 수출성장성에 대한 만족도에 미치는 영향을 각각 실증 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 경영자 요인의 경우 국제화비전과 위험감수성향이 수출벤처기업 전체에 있어 수출집약도에만 유의한 영향을 주고 있는 것으로 나타난 반면, 기업요인의 경우 마케팅역량과 학습역량이 수출집약도와 수출성장성에 모두 유의한 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 수출 시작 시기에 따른 국제신벤처기업과 일반수출벤처기업의 집단 비교 분석의 결과는 국제신벤처기업의 경영자 위험감수성향과 학습역량이 일반수출벤처기업에 비해 수출성과에 더욱 큰 영향을 주고 있음을 확인하였다. 이는 빠른 해외시장 진출을 시도하는 기업의 경우 경영자의 위험감수성향이 클수록 더욱 공세적인 시장전략을 구사할 것이며, 이를 통해 수출성과를 높일 수 있다는 점을 보여준다. 또한 시장정보를 습득하고 이를 제품이나 서비스 개선에 지속적으로 반영하는 등의 학습역량도 상대적으로 부족한 자원을 가진 국제신벤처기업에 있어서는 성과를 높이는데 필요한 요인임을 확인하였다.
Abstract
This paper develops a model of the export performance of venture firms by export timing considering International New Venture(INV) theory. Based on resource based view, the study posits top management factors and corporate factors effect export performance. Export intensity and export growth are used as surrogate measures to export performance. For the empirical test, path analysis and multi-group analysis by structural equation modeling are employed. Findings are as follows. International vision of top management influences export intensity in a positive way and so do risk tolerance of top management to export intensity. Among corporate factors, marketing competency influences export intensity and export growth positively. Learning competency are positively independent variables to export intensity and export growth. The result of multi-group analysis between INVs and non-INVs reveals the differentiating factors to export performance. Risk tolerance makes the difference of export intensity and export growth. However, learning competency differentiates only export intensity.
