평생학습도시의 사회경제적 의미

In knowledge based society, human resource development is expanded its scope from individual and organizational level to regional and national level. Lifelong learning city(LLC) project, started since 2001 by central government, is one of practical approaches to aim regional human resource development. This study, based on Schuller's triangular conceptualization model, analyzed the difference of lifelong learning practitioners' perception before and after their cities are being nominated as LLC in terms of 3 concepts such as social capital, human capital and self esteem. Paired sample T test and Borich need assessment formular were used for its analysis. The result of this study showed that the difference in neighbor trust turned to be highest in social capital while information provision based on community members' request and colleague trust are the next. For human capital, difference in community members' value showed the highest, followed by their competitive superiority and persistent will on idea and knowledge development. For self esteem. difference in community members' degree of understanding were shown the highest, followed by the one in their judgement, self dignity and perceptive degree toward external change. Further research should include index development that measures the performance of LLC using diverse indices from different angles and should try to use other stakeholders as target samples.
