사립대학의 규모별·지역별 특성이 경영성과에 미치는 영향

This paper studies the relations of the financial and non-financial management information with the size and region factors of Korean private universities using 2009 balancing accounts. The results are following:First, the input performance by the size factor shows that the large universities are lower than the small ones. The output performance shows that the large ones outperform the small ones on the every index. This implies that the competitiveness of university is affected largely by the size of university. Second, the input performance by the region factor shows that the capital region universities are lower than the non-capital region ones. However, the output performance shows that the capital region ones outperform the non-capital region ones. This results show that the non-capital region universities have much more difficulties in recruiting freshmen and maintaining students in spite of the higher employment rate compared with the capital region universities. Finally, in analysing the effects of the input performances on the output performances, we find that the higher research funds per full-time professor the higher most of all output performances. We hope that this study helps designing the policies of the structural adjustment and financial support for universities with respect to the size and location.
