중급호텔의 재무성과에 영향을 미치는 내부역량의 효율성과 직원만족에 관한 연구

본 연구는 중급호텔로 분류되는 국내호텔들의 경영성과를 알 수 있는 재무적 지표들을 근간으로 하여 이에 영향을 미치는 비재무적 성공요소들을 밝혀 봄으로써 향후 중급호텔의 발전요인들을 제안하고, 향후 지속적인 연구의단초를 마련해 보고자 하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이러한 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위해 Kaplan & Norton(1996), Denton & White(2000)의 연구에서 제시된 균형성과표(balanced scorecard) 모형의 내용 중 호텔의 특성에 맞는 변수들을 추출하여 분석을 실시하였다. 분석을 위해 SPSS10.0 통계패키지를 이용하여 내부역량의 효율성과 직원만족의 관계는 다중회귀분석을 이용하였고, 재무성과와 내부역량의 효율성, 직원만족의 관계는 이분형 로지스틱 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과 직원만족과 내부역량의 효율성과의 관계에서는 브랜드 인지도가 유의하게 나타났으며, 상품구성은 통계적으로 유의하지 않게 나타났다. 그리고 직무만족은 재무성과에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.
Abstract
The main purpose of this research is to find out what are the non-financial factors contributing to management and financial performance for mid-scale hotels in Korea. In this study the balanced scorecard, which was proposed by Kaplan & Norton(1996) and Denton & White(2000), were used for proving the purpose of this research. The multi-regression analysis for the relationship between internal facilities and employee satisfaction and the binary logistic regression analysis for financial performance with two factors - employee satisfaction and the efficiency of internal facilities - are used as the methods of statistic analysis in this study. The findings of this study is that there is a significant difference on the location and brand awareness for employee satisfaction but not on the structure of goods. Employee satisfaction also influence to the financial performance.
