본 연구에서는 성공적인 RFID 도입을 위한 과정에 있어서 기업의 정보기술 역량의 영향을 실증 분석하고자 하였다. 현재 기업에서의 RFID 도입 추세는 일부 기업들이 부분적으로 RFID를 도입하였으며, 최근 기업에서의 업무처리에 있어 RFID가 제공하는 많은 이점이 소개됨으로써 기업들이 많은 관심을 가지고 있는 상태이다. 그러나, 기업에서의 실질적인 RFID 도입은 많이 이루어진 상황은 아니다. 이에 본 연구에서는 RFID와 관련된 기존문헌의 검토를 바탕으로 성공적인 RFID 도입을 위한 기업의 정보기술역량과 이에 영향을 미치는 RFID 도입에 대한 기대효익, 신뢰 그리고 위험 간의 인과관계를 모형화 하였다. 특히, RFID를 도입하고자 하는 기업의 정보기술 역량을 평가하기 위해 관리역량, 운영역량 그리고 인프라역량의 복합지표로 구성하여 분석하였다. 본 연구에서는 향후 RFID를 도입하고자 하는 의도가 있는 총 354개 업체를 대상으로 한 실증연구를 통하여 연구 가설을 검증하였다. 본 연구결과는 RFID 도입을 검토 중인 기업들에게 향후 성공적인 RFID 도입을 위한 실질적인 전략적 방향을 제시해 줄 것이다.
Abstract
This study empirically analyzes the role of information technology capacity of a company in successfully implementing RFID. Examining the current status of RFID, several companies have partially introduced RFID and many companies pay attention to RFID as its advantages in workplaces are being known. Nevertheless, there are no many companies where RFID is actually implemented. This study models a causal relationship between the information technology capacity of a company that is required for a successful implementation of RFID and several influential factors including expected return, reliability, and risk, based on literature review on RFID. Especially, the information technology capacity of a company that is considering implementation of RFID was evaluated by using a composite indicator including management capacity, operation capacity, and infrastructure capacity. The study uses a total of 354 companies who are willing to introduce RFID in the future and conducts an empirical analysis to test the study hypotheses. The study results are expected to provide a strategic direction for successful implementation of RFID to the companies that are debating on its implementation.
