A Study on the Status of Start-up & Entrepreneurship Education and Expected Performance of the Education Customer. - Focus on the Middle & High School -

The purpose of this study was to investigate the status of start-up and entrepreneurship education in the Republic of Korea and abroad. The future directions of entrepreneurship education will be presented through the analysis of the needs of the education customer. The results of study, "start up" was included in the mean of "entrepreneurship". This study found that entrepreneurship education in the Republic of Korea was very small. Middle and high school students claimed that entrepreneurship education should be reflected during regular classroom hours. The teacher‘s opinions however, showed that entrepreneurship education should take place during irregular classroom hours and in extracurricular education institutions. Overall, both the students and the teachers wanted the establishment and development of various professional education programs. The expected performance of metropolitan students in entrepreneurship education is higher than that of the local students. The expected performance of both metropolitan and local teachers is very high. As a result of this study, new items have been proposed for future education. For example, a new textbook, e-Learning system, has been dedicated to teacher training and the improvement of the university entrance examination system.
